My Special Easter Basket
2024
Spring is such a special time of year - trees and flowers begin to sprout leaves, then flowers of every color. But the very best part of spring is preparing for and celebrating Easter, as we remember when Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, died on a cross (even though He had never done anything wrong) and rose to life three days later. That day, also known as Resurrection Sunday, is the best day of the year! Because Jesus rose from the dead, when we believe in Jesus we can be confident that we will live forever with Him in heaven someday! And that’s the best news ever!
This year, as you prepare for Easter, consider creating this Special Easter Basket. There are many ways that this booklet and basket can be used. Gather enough materials together and host a neighborhood party, or share with Children’s ministry leaders at church. Or just assemble the basket for your family and use it as a centerpiece for the dining room table. Each day, when you share a meal together, read a page from this devotional, hold and pass around the object that accompanies that day’s reading, and meditate on all that Jesus did for His followers, and for you, on that week between Palm Sunday and Easter.
He is Risen…Indeed!
Jesus lives forevermore!! And because He defeated death, when we believe in Jesus and receive His gift of salvation, we are guaranteed life forever as well! And all because of how much He loves us!
